🇦🇺 Eras Tour Roundup: Sydney
Another TTPD variant, Travis in the house, and Mashups that left me Haunted
Dear Reader,
🎶 There is no amount of crying I can do for you 🎶
Does that about sum up how we’re feeling after Sydney’s Eras Tour shows? 😅😭
A week ago I wasn’t sure how Sydney’s Surprise Songs could top what went down in Melbourne. I was wrong 😅 From double mashups, to absolute Taylor Swift classics being mashed up together (HAUNTED and EXILE?!), I’m absolutely speechless.

Sydney’s Surprise Songs: An Overview
I truly don’t understand how SO MANY incredible songs made their way into Sydney’s Surprise Song section of the show. Taylor covered a total of 15 songs in 4 days 😱 Here’s what went down during the Acoustic Set:
Sydney N1: How You Get The Girl and White Horse x Coney Island (with Sabrina Carpenter) - the fact that Travis was in the crowd while Taylor sang HYGTG is something I may never forget; and Taylor and Sabrina’s voices blended so beautifully together in this mashup.
Sydney N2: Should’ve Said No x You’re Not Sorry and New Year’s Day x peace - And so began the nights of double mashups. Two mashups in one night? For three nights in a row?! I love that Taylor pulled the Australian “naur” card with “Should’ve Said No”, which I think pairs so perfectly with “You’re Not Sorry”. I never would’ve imaged her to go into “peace” from “New Year’s Day” though. My jaw is still on the floor.
Sydney N3: Is It Over Now x I Wish You Would and Haunted x exile - We got a classic 1989 mashup with two faves from the album. And then we got a completely unexpected mashup (at least to me) of two absolute top songs of ALL TIME (again, at least to me). “Haunted” and “exile” sung together should probably not be allowed to happen - but I’m so glad it did.
Sydney N4: Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve x ivy and Forever & Always (piano version) x Maroon - Such interesting combinations of songs with these mashups! I have so many thoughts.
