Dear Reader,
🎶 We hereby conduct this post mortem… 🎶
I know I’m not the only one who gasped when Taylor started her final surprise song in Stockholm with this lyric - wrapping up three days of incredible shows! Not only did we have the 89th Eras Tour show, which Taylor celebrated with an unhinged triple mashup, but also the one-month anniversary of TTPD. Let’s get into all that happened in Stockholm!

Stockholm’s Surprise Songs: An Overview

Stockholm’s surprise songs featured some of my top tracks. I know I probably say that every single newsletter. But I really mean it this time. Those mashups, and don’t even get me started on “How Did It End?” and “Peter”! Here’s what went down during the Acoustic Set:
Stockholm N1 on guitar: I Think He Knows x Gorgeous - if anyone thought mashups were more of a thing of eras tours past, Taylor firmly squashed that idea by kicking off Stockholm’s with this insanely adorable mashup!
Stockholm N1 on piano: Peter - Truly such a spectacular performance of a track I absolutely adore from TTPD. “Cause love's never lost when perspective is earned” is a lyric that cuts me to my very core 😭
Stockholm N2 on guitar: Guilty as Sin? - Another TTPD fan favorite!
Stockholm N2 on piano: Say Don’t Go x Welcome To New York x Clean - A 1989 triple mashup to celebrate the 89th Eras Tour show
Stockholm N3 on guitar: Message In A Bottle x How You Get The Girl x New Romantics, OR as Taylor called it, The Max Martin Medley - Max Martin is an incredible music producer from Stockholm, Sweden, who worked with Taylor on some of her previous albums - Red, 1989 and Reputation. He was in the audience that night! Taylor sang a medley of three songs that she worked on with him, starting with the first song they ever worked on together, “Message In A Bottle”.
Stockholm N3 on piano: How Did It End? - I’m still shedding tears over this performance of one of the most devastating tracks from TTPD (in my opinion). It was the perfect surprise song to close out the weekend of shows.
