Welcome to March Madness (Surprise Song Mashup Version)!
Do you want to get into March Madness, but Swiftie style? Well, it’s time for the ultimate Eras Tour showdown: March Madness (Surprise Song Mashup Version). I’ve been working on this for weeks, and I’m so excited to finally kick things off with you!
With the anniversary of the Eras Tour’s opening night fresh on our minds, and March Madness just beginning in the basketball world, I figured this was the perfect time to host our own bracket. So over the next few weeks, we’re on a mission to crown the best surprise song mashup of the Eras Tour. Taylor performed 134 incredible mashups over the course of the tour - but which one will come out on top? Well, that’s all up to you and your votes.
How It Works
Everything will be happening over on my Instagram! We’ll start by narrowing the field down from 134 mashups to our top 67. I’ve divided all the mashups into four Quarters, and I arranged them into pairings roughly in chronological order of when Taylor performed them - I figured that was the most fair.
I’ll share each Quarter bracket on my IG feed to lay out the matchups of our mashups. Voting will take place in my Instagram IG for the first few rounds, so if you want your vote to be counted make sure to get it in there! As we get deeper into the competition, I’ll move the voting to reel posts - keep an eye out for updates.
I’ve created an IG story highlight so we can keep track of all the madness together! And here’s a reel that explains all of this with visual cues as well.
Voting Has Begun!
The first round kicked off last night (March 18) starting with Quarter 1. This grouping features the mashup that started it all (will you ever forget that night in Buenos Aires when Taylor started singing the bridge of “Out Of The Woods” in the middle of “Is It Over Now”??), plus so many other iconic pairings.
The thing with hosting these initial polls on my stories is that they only last for 24 hours - so if you want to make sure your favorites make it past this first round then get your votes in! I’ll share Quarter 2 with its individual polls later this evening, the final two Quarters over the next two days, and then I’ll share the winners making up our top 67 before we move onto the next round.
