Dear Reader,
My last Clowning Chat newsletter went out 3 months ago (on March 13th), so I figured we were due an update. And with today being the 13th of the month, and the 100th Eras Tour show approaching, there’s so many clowning theories going around. I’ve compiled as many theories as I could, from my own thoughts and what I’ve come across on social media, in this newsletter. I’d love to hear any of your thoughts yours too! Leave a comment at the end with any of your own clowning ideas. Now, let’s clown!
PS - If you’re new to clowning/would like a refresher, a helpful place to start could be my Introduction to Clowning, found in my first clowning newsletter!

The 100th Eras Tour Show on the 13th of June
Today’s Eras Tour show in Liverpool is primed to be an exciting one for several reason:
It’s the 100th show - a significant number
It’s the 13th - Taylor’s favorite number
It’s Taylor’s half-birthday
Those three ingredients alone are all that’s needed for chaotic fun to happen. But, as we’ll discuss in the rest of this newsletter, there have been SO many more signs pointing to all kinds of Easter Eggs. Let’s break them down.

Signs that Something is Happening - either today or soon?
There has been A LOT going on lately - per usual. But it really feels like something could be brewing. Here’s why:
Taylor’s Instagram grid is currently aligned - if you scroll through you can see that posts are lined up to make up larger pictures (i.e. evermore and folklore’s album covers; Ready For It'? living up for Reputation’s original release, etc). Taylor likes to make new announcements when her feed is lined up, so it’s primed for an announcement.
Taylor’s Instagram feed has also been transitioning out of the grayscale color scheme that started with TTPD’s announcement, back into color.
Taylor was seen out and about on June 11th wearing a clock necklace that looked like the one she wore to the Grammys when she announced TTPD.
The last mashup Taylor sang in Edinburgh was a repeat mashup of “Haunted” x “exile”. I think I’ve sene this film before? I gave so many signs? What are you trying to say, Taylor?!
In Edinburgh, Taylor said during her champagne problems speech, “I kind of just want to show them all my work and see what they think and hope they like it." What more work do you want to share with us Taylor?!
Taylor sang the mashup “Glitch” x “Everything Has Changed” in Lyon - which kind of screams that something is happening. Has there been a glitch and so everything has changed?
Taylor Nation reposted the Fortnight challenge video from YouTube Shorts (which was shared with the release of TTPD back in April) on Instagram, but with the 8th clip changed - there’s a different photo of Benjamin (one of Taylor’s cats) than what was used in the previous YouTube Shorts version.
5 weeks ago Taylor Nation shared this photo of Taylor holding up a ✌️ (from her TTPD announcement) - causing some to speculate that another surprise related to 2 could be coming.
The appreance of green pieces in Taylor’s 1989 outfit sets since Paris could also be used as clues for Rep TV and/or Debut TV. (I love that these albums both have green associated with them, meaning that any green Easter Eggs can feel more muddled as a result - it’s such a genius marketing move to keep us guessing).
With all of these signs, there’s all kinds of clowning that can be done. I’ll cover the many different ideas of what could be coming our way, if and when Taylor decides to share them with us.

TTPD Clowning
We are still firmly in our Tortured Poets Department era, and personally I don’t think we’re going to leave it quite yet. TTPD has been No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 for 7 weeks now, and I (along with Taylor and her team, I’m sure) would love to see that last for as long as possible. I also just can’t stop listening to the album - it’s been on repeat since its release, and I can’t imagine getting tired of it. So I don’t see a transition into a new era happening just yet.
That’s why I’m imagining if something does go down today for the 100th show/soon, it’ll be TTPD related. My best bet is a new music video release.
A New Music Video?
Taylor has given us a lot of music videos in the past for her studio albums. Her last studio album, Midnights, had 4 different music videos: “Anti-Hero”, “Bejeweled”, “Lavender Haze” and “Karma”. We also got music videos for 2/4 of her re-recordings - Red (Taylor’s Version) and Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) both had music videos, while Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and 1989 (Taylor’s Version) did not.
I’m thinking the most likely announcement for today’s show in Liverpool would be a new TTPD music video. That could bring more momentum to keep TTPD at No. 1. It also makes sense to me to announce a new music video in Liverpool, given that the last video Taylor did share with us - “I Can See You” from Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) - was filmed in Liverpool! A new music video could give us sooo many more Easter Eggs to clown about too.
As far as which TTPD song could be the music video (if that ends up being the announcement)? These are the three top contenders I see:
“Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me” - this is the song I immediately thought would be the next single after TTPD’s release (and “Fortnight” as the first single/music video). I think the lyrics of the song are so cinematic. Great music video material. Taylor Nation also started the "asylum trend on social media, where everyone was sharing their own “asylum where they raised me”.
“I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” - Taylor Nation shared on their Instagram stories yesterday (June 12), this post of Spotify’s Songs of Summer predictions. ICDIWABH made the list! So I could see Taylor and her team leaning into that as we get into summertime, with a music video of that song. We might have already seen a vision of what that music video could look like in the incredible staging of it for the TTPD set on the Eras Tour.
FLORIDA!!! - Taylor Nation posted this video of Taylor and Florence in the studio recording this song. And it just felt a bit random? So I wondered if it could be an Easter Egg for the next single/music video. Maybe Florence could even show up as a guest in today’s show and perform the song with Taylor?
TTPD Part 3?
I have seen a number of theories going around that TTPD could get a third part to the already DOUBLE ALBUM. To me, this seems kinda insane - the double album was already so much more than I ever could have needed or wanted. But there are some clues that could maybe point in that direction. (I’m sure there’s more than this as well, it’s just what I’ve found while working on this newsletter):
In this sneak peak we got of the TTPD room before the release of the album, there’s a hallway with three doors.
TessDear shared this TikTok about how The Beatles released an Anthology in 3 parts. And Liverpool is the home of The Beatles. That also made me think about how Paul McCartney is mentioned three times in the TIME Magazine Person of the Year Award article. Taylor does like to leave Easter Eggs in print form (journalism).
Taylor Nation shared this post of Taylor saying, “You’re gonna have 2 sisters.”
A New Eras Tour Movie?
Ever since we learned that the Eras Tour shows in Paris were officially filmed, we’ve been wondering whether that meant an updated Eras Tour movie could also be on its way, including the new TTPD Era. Taylor’s mashup of “Haunted” x “exile” in Edinburgh, literally saying “I think I’ve seen this film before” just feeds more into that theory. Nikki put together this great video on TikTok discussing the idea more fully.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see an updated Eras Tour movie getting made (I would buy tickets in a heartbeat!). But I would be surprised for it to get announced and released this early on. Taylor still has shows going on through the end of this year, so I would think a movie of the new setlist would come much later on in the timeline of the tour.
Reputation TV Clowning
It wouldn’t be a clowning newsletter without talking about Reputation (Taylor’s Version). It feels like there’s always clowning going on for Rep TV. I’ve often been part of it myself. But ever since we entered the TTPD era, I just don’t see Rep TV coming quite this soon. Here are a few reasons why some think Rep TV could be coming sooner than later, possibly even getting announced today/this month:
June is the 6th month of the year - Reputation is the 6th album.
The 🔜 emoji in Taylor’s wrap-up posts are following a similar pattern to when Taylor announced 1989 TV (of 2 soon emojis, no emoji, leading into a potential announcement). Kristen made this video on TikTok about it.
The TTPD logo upside down spells out the word “Cáil”, which is Reputation in Irish. Taylor is performing in Dublin Ireland from June 28-30. Could an announcement happen then?
Debut/Debutation TV Clowning
Alongside Reputation TV clowning, Taylor has cleverly been adding in Debut Easter Eggs that have stirred the Debut TV clowning pot. The main development is that Taylor sang “Crazier” for Edinburgh N2 - in a stunning mashup with “All Of The Girls You Loved Before”. This made a lot of us wonder if “Crazier (Taylor’s Version)” could be coming in the future, potentially even on Debut TV! The wristbands apparently lit up Debut green while Taylor was singing “Crazier” as well.
I’ve always thought of “Crazier” in the Fearless Era. Maybe because there’s a lot of yellow in the Hannah Montana: The Movie poster, and because that movie released after the Fearless album did. Here’s the timeline:
Taylor Swift: released October 2006
Fearless: released November 2008
“Crazier”: released March 2009
Hannah Montana: The Movie: released April 2009
Taylor was asked for a song to use in Hannah Montana: The Movie, and she sent in “Crazier” She didn’t intentionally write the song for the movie. So it’s possible she could’ve written it during the Debut era, before she was working on her Fearless album. I would LOVE to see it on Debut TV.
Debutation - have you heard of it before? This is the idea that Taylor could release Debut TV and Reputation TV at the same time. I can’t really see that happening. I feel like Taylor likes to give each album its own time in the sun. But, Taylor Nation shared a post over on X on March 30th, “TAYLOR SAID DEBUTATION” - after Taylor performed her surprise songs of “Our Song” x “Jump Than Fall” and “King Of My Heart”. So that’s kinda interesting.

TS12 Clowning
FINALLY, and I know there’s been a lot, but I would be remiss to leave out “Karma” and TS12 (Taylor’s 12th studio album) from this clowning newsletter. Cause there sure has been a lot of orange happening lately. And “Karma” - the speculated lost album that many thought would get released between 1989 and Reputation - has been associated with orange. Here’s some ways orange has been popping up:
The countdown clock at the beginning of the Eras Tour has shown an orange ring around it before a couple of shows.
Paris’ shows debuted a new orange Lover bodysuit and “The Man” jacket.
Taylor, so far, has only worn one matching 1989 set since Paris - it was all orange.
The surprise song dress colors used to be blue, pink, yellow, and green. But since Paris, they’ve been blue, pink, and orange (with no sign of a green dress yet, but it could be coming). So the yellow dress was swapped out for an orange one.
I like the pattern of 2 re-recordings (Fearless TV and Red TV), 1 studio album (Midnights), 2 re-recordings (Speak Now TV and 1989 TV), 1 studio album (TTPD). So I could see that continuing with Reputation TV and Taylor Swift TV. But then again, Taylor loves to shift her patterns and keep us on our toes - so really, who knows?
Dates To Look Out For
To wrap up, of course the major date to look out for is today’s show! Here’s my Liverpool Time Zone Chart, if you’re interested in tuning into the livestream. You can bet I’ll be watching it closely! No matter what happens, I’m sure it’ll be amazing.
The other upcoming dates to watch are the Eras Tour shows in Dublin on June 28-30th.
Other than that, there’s so many other potential dates we could look out for. Something could happen at anytime - though I do feel like Taylor loves to announce things at shows, so I’m paying more attention to tour dates. I’ll keep you updated as best I can!
Those are the latest clowning theories I’ve been thinking about - I’d love to hear yours too! As usual, I’ve left some questions below. Leave a comment with your predictions, theories, and any other clowning that you’re getting up to lately!
I can’t wait to see what happens in Liverpool and beyond! I’ll update my Instagram stories and feed with any developments. In the meantime…
I never learned to read your mind,
Bekah
